Top Draft Sports Management's Player Advisor role is an educational avenue for those in need of professional consultation from former professional players, coaches and personnel. North American and European Pro leagues, the Canadian Hockey League and the NCAA are big businesses and the potential player needs to approach these leagues with the same attitude. 

Our Advisors educate our clients during convoluted times of Professional Contract Negotiations, CHL Player Agreement Contracts, NCAA eligibility rules, and NCAA recruitment guidelines. Many families are in need of an experienced advisor during these complex situations but very limited resources are available, with the exception of high cost lawyers or agents. We are not agents and we do not receive a percentage of the players pro contract; we simply provide expert advice and guidance based on an hourly rate.  Our Legal team provides our clients with professional consultation and world-class negotiation practices based on the contract or package being offered, while our Advisory team prepares the athlete and his family on the protocol of the above mentioned leagues.

Athletes pursuing an academic route, will be advised of the options and opportunities for scholastic athletes. A Player Portfolio will be prepared by TDSM and distributed to schools expressing interest in the client. SAT preparation and current GPA will be a major focus for players who wish to compete at the NCAA level and TDSM will assist the player in ensuring the player's grades and SAT scores are in the upper echelon.  In order to be recognized by NCAA institutions, the player must be playing in a visible hockey market and TDSM will ensure the player is playing junior hockey with a paramount organization. 

Athletes leaning towards Major Junior A hockey will be well prepared and educated on the CHL ranks.  Draft Preparation is a fundamental service offered by TDSM and the athlete and his family will be well prepared for the upcoming Priority Selection.  Our Legal team will ensure a premium academic package is received during contract negotiations and the player's future is well equipped for life after the CHL.
